Creating more unity with Unity and its customers

Our challenge

Unity Trust Bank is a commercial bank that supports businesses that strive to make a difference in the UK, such as charities, SMEs and not-for-profits. Working with its like-minded customers, Unity delivers social impact that changes the futures of tens of thousands of people in communities across the UK.

Their social impact proposition was not understood by customers, so Unity challenged us to refresh its overarching proposition and strengthen the brand, to maximise the opportunity for future growth.

Our creative thinking

We worked closely with the Unity team to redefine its proposition, build a robust brand framework, create a new identity and communicate all of that on a new website that put customer needs first. To take Unity’s colleagues on the journey, we created a full suite of comms Рfrom films to screensavers Рthat told the rebrand story at the launch event.

To launch the new brand, we created a national multi-channel campaign based around the concept of ‘We’re for…’; statements of real intent that reinforced Unity’s commitment to ethical banking, inspiring organisations to switch from their incumbent banks.
