Established over 160 years ago, Skipton Building Society had a reputation as a trusted, local building society with its member’s best interests at heart. To evolve for future success in a challenging market their strategy was to offer an ‘all of life’ portfolio with a focus on worry free retirement. OTB were a safe pair of hands to deliver the consumer facing proposition and identity across all media.
Appropriately, the Skipton castle icon was set in stone, however the make over delivered a contemporary identity with a hint of nostalgia, bespoke imagery features people enjoying an ‘active retirement’ or pre-retirement. The ribbons are a metaphor for Skipton Building Society and the member moving through life together. Extensive brand guidelines meant that everyone understood the brand and all it stands for.
