We Believe In OTBees!
Our environment (and everyone else's including bees) is a finely balanced place. The more we look after it, the more it'll repay us and our kids in the long run. Obvious really. That's why we believe in it.
Energy
- We always aim to reduce consumption by using energy efficiently.
- We turn off all lights and equipment when we don’t need them
- We take care to switch off everything possible overnight.
- We double-check the efficiency levels of the things we buy.
- We regularly check thermostats so we don't waste heat.
- We have energy efficient lighting throughout the building.
Waste
- We try to minimise the amount of materials we use – we only print out when we're really happy with the work and we do lots of checking on screen!
- We re-use or recycle materials and buy recycled products where they are available and where they offer value for money.
Pollution
- We hate creating CO² emissions and we're all aware of how we can reduce them.
- We also avoid creating CFCs. We don't use spray mount for mounting creative work for clients any more – we use a Xyron machine instead.
- We try not to travel for meetings too often, when we need to, we car share or use public transport.
- We hold conference calls where they can replace meetings.
- We keep the grounds clear of litter as per the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Paper
- We always use double-sided printing and photocopying where possible.
- We use recycled products – including paper, boards and other stationery materials.
- We encourage our clients to use recycled stocks in their print requirements – or to use digital marketing instead.
- We recycle as much as we can – including all wasted paper and toner cartridges.
- We only print out when we need to and often print to a reduced size so we use less paper.
